Cheapest SMSF administrator in Australia: how to compare fees properly
The cheapest-looking SMSF administrator on a Google ad is almost never the cheapest in your annual letter. Headline monthly fees range from $80 to $200, but the all-in cost — once audit, actuarial, pension commencement and per-investment fees are added — can vary by thousands of dollars a year.
New FY kickoff — 50% off SMSF setup (limited time)
Limited-time new financial year offer — 50% off Individual and Corporate Trustee setup fees. Ends midnight AEST, 30 September 2026.
What to add up when comparing SMSF admin fees
Most low-headline providers charge separately for the independent audit ($400–$700/yr), an actuarial certificate if the fund has a pension ($150–$300/yr), pension commencement ($300–$500 one-off), and per-investment line items ($30–$80 per share parcel, ETF or property per year).
easySMSF publishes a flat monthly fee that includes the audit and unlimited investments. That structure is rarely the cheapest on headline; it is almost always the cheapest on the all-in invoice.
