Government services disclosure

1. We are not a government agency

easySMSF is a privately owned Australian business providing self-managed super fund (SMSF) establishment and administration services. We are not a government agency, department or authority. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting under any authority delegated by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), the Australian Business Register (ABR), the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) or any other government body.

2. You can deal with government agencies directly, for free

Every government registration involved in setting up an SMSF can be applied for by you, directly with the relevant agency, without using easySMSF:

• ABN, TFN and registration as a regulated super fund — free of charge at abr.gov.au and ato.gov.au.
• Company registration for a corporate trustee — at ASIC's published government fee via asic.gov.au.
• SMSF lookup, trustee declarations and ATO guidance material — free at ato.gov.au.

3. What our fees are for

The fees shown on this website are for optional professional services performed by easySMSF — preparing and reviewing the trust deed and member documentation, collecting and verifying your information, lodging registrations on your behalf as your agent, preparing your investment strategy documentation, coordinating bank and broker account applications, and ongoing SMSF administration, accounting and audit coordination.

Our fees are not a government fee and are not payment for a government document. Where a government charge applies (for example ASIC's company registration fee or annual review fee), that charge is set by the government and is disclosed separately.

4. No guarantee of a government outcome

Approval of any registration, and the timeframe for it, is determined solely by the relevant government agency. easySMSF cannot guarantee an application will be approved or processed within any particular period.

easySMSF does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and does not provide personal financial product advice. Information on this website is general in nature only.
