easySMSF ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Information we collect

We collect personal information necessary to provide SMSF establishment, administration, accounting and tax services, and to arrange your fund's annual audit with an independent third-party SMSF auditor, including: full name, date of birth, address, email, phone number, Tax File Number, identification documents, member balances and fund-related financial information.

2. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you via our setup application, client portal, email and phone, and from third parties such as the ATO, ASIC, your superannuation fund, employer, broker or financial institution where authorised.

4. Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information to the ATO, ASIC, your appointed SMSF auditor, banks, brokers, insurers and software providers we use to deliver our services. We do not sell your information.

5. Advertising measurement

We advertise on Google Ads. If you accept advertising cookies, we record the Google click identifier (GCLID) that brought you to our site, together with your consent choice, and store it with your enquiry. Where an enquiry later progresses (for example, you become a client), we send Google Ads the click identifier, the date and time, the event name and an indicative value in Australian dollars, so we can measure which advertisements produce genuine enquiries. We do not send your name, email address or phone number to Google for this purpose. Google Ads acts as a recipient of this data; see Google’s advertising privacy information. If you decline advertising cookies, no click identifier is recorded and nothing is reported to Google. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in our footer; withdrawing consent stops any further reporting.

6. Storage and security

Your information is stored securely on Australian and equivalent-jurisdiction cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to authorised personnel.

7. Access and correction

You may request access to or correction of the personal information we hold about you by emailing support@easysmsf.com.au.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the APPs, please contact us first. If unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
